Leong Yueh Kwong is an environmental specialist with a special interest in biodiversity conservation and ecological sustainability issues. His education has been in botany, ecology and pollution chemistry, undertaken in
Malaysia,
Canada and
England. He has taught at USM and AIT
Bangkok. He has undertaken various studies and consultancies in environmental conservation, environmental planning and management in
Malaysia as well as in various countries in
Asia with a number of international organizations. He has also been involved with environmental NGOs in
Malaysia and in the Asia Pacific region. For his contribution to the conservation and protection to the environment, he was awarded the DMPN in 2002 by the State of
Penang which carries the title of Dato’. |

Dr. Choong Sim Poay

Dr. Choong Sim Poey graduated in Medicine from

UK. Presently, he is the medical director of a private family planning clinic. Dr. Choong has always been a strong advocate of NGO's as an agent of social change. He was deeply involved in population and gender issues as chairman of the Federation of FPA's
Malaysia for 2 terms. Lately, he has taken more interest in heritage conservation and sustainable development through his involvement in the Penang Heritage Trust and Sustainable Transport Environment for
Penang group, of which he is president and coordinator respectively.

University. Dr. Ooi was a production manager of an MNC company from 1988 to 1994 and now as managing director for several companies. He won the “Top outstanding Young Malaysian 2000“in “Economic and Entrepreneurship” section in 2000. Encik Kuan Eu Jin
Vice President, Logistic Division, NCIA
Eu Jin is the Vice President and Head of the NCIA Logistics Division. He is responsible for leading the Logistics Division of NCIA towards catalyzing private participation in the logistics industry for the NCER.
Eu Jin completed his secondary education in S.M.J.K. Sam Tet, Ipoh. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from University of Melbourne, Australia and was previously a member of the Australian Society of CPAs.
Before joining NCIA, Eu Jin was the Senior Manager for FedEx Operations in Penang between 2007 and 2010, responsible for the Courier, Customs Clearance and Aircraft Ground Handling teams with a staff strength of about 200. He also served as Station Operations Manager in FedEx Senai, Johor for 2 years.
Prior to joining FedEx, Eu Jin served as the Department Head for the maintenance arms of two Malaysian bus companies – Park May Berhad followed by Triton Engineering Sdn Bhd. Eu Jin also has 2 years of corporate finance experience having served in Marak Unggul Sdn Bhd, a Special Purpose Vehicle tasked to privatize Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad.

Mr. Manian Sinnasamy

Project Manager
Mr.Maniam Sinnasamy is currently the Project Manager for the UNDP – Government of Malaysia Project which aims to support the development of accessible public transportation for persons with disabilities in Penang. He is based in the State Economic Planning Unit and works closely with the Penang State Government, the private sector and transport providers. He is very keen to see that Penang becomes a model city with an accessible public transport system, including pedestrian infrastructure and the built environment. Prior to this he has served in various capacities; as a Consultant & Researcher for UNICEF, JICA and several local NGOs, as Executive Director of a Centre for the Blind, and as Head of the Medical Social Work Unit with the Ministry of Health, Brunei Darussalam.He has post graduate qualifications in Social Work and three decades of work experience covering such areas as health and social care of persons with illness and disability, managing non-profit organizations and training & consultancy. He was a former Vice President of the Malaysian Association of Social Workers and is actively involved in various community initiatives. |

Mr Chang Kah Loon (曾家麟物流師), a Professional Logistician (and Transport Planner) with CPL (Aust), CTP (Aust), FRAS (UK), FRGS (UK), CMILT (UK), AMIArb, has been in the sectors of Logistics, Transport and Supply Chain since 1994. He is now the Regional Manager (Northern Malaysia) of an International Shipping Line and his involvement includes shipping agency, international trading, freighting, seaport husbandry, logistics consultancy, logistics management, logistics mediation and expert witnessing etc. He is also the Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport in Malaysia (Penang Section) ("CILT"), which is the international professional body for the chartered/ certified/ professional logisticians and transport planners.
